Marilyn Monroe is everyone's favorite girl. Marilyn was exceeded in popularity only by Princess Diana, but not until the press blackout in September 1984, after the birth of her second son Prince Harry. Of course I made their portrait, a kind of press exclusive, in my home town Manchester. Diana's new found popularity was confirmed by the relentless and generous cascade of cash donations, which sounded like an 8 hour payout from a one-armed bandit. Unfortunately I do not have a photo of this alltime most popular image.
